Lets Skankin’ With Kemuri

Positive Mental Attitude rever as PMA by Japanese ska band Kemuri. PMA means an upbeat sound with positive lyrics which majority lyrics on English and also with Japanese. Formed with Fumio Ito (vocal), Noriaki Tsuda (bass) , Hidenori Minami (guitar), Shoji HIraya (drums), Ken Kobayashi (saxophone), Ryosuke Morimura (former trumpet who died in 2003) and Mike Park (tenor sax; left Kemuri in 1998). Ito sleek vocal gave melodically ambience over all this modern ska band.

On December 12, 2007, Kemuri posted a “break up message” on their web site. They said they had done much more than they expected as a band and that this break up would be the most positive conclusion to their band (keeping in line with their PMA message). Their last show was on December 9, 2007 at the Zepp in Tokyo. In 2012 Kemuri will make their reunion tour in Tokyo and in the U.S on by the end of this year.
